Original Watercolor cut-paper collage of a Blacktail Jackrabbit taking shelter in a prickly pear cactus in the Sonoran Desert, size 8" x 10".

It's mid-morning in the desert. Jackrabbit has been busy, and now he is resting until dusk under a safe shelter, a prickly pear cactus.  It is spring now, and the first blooms have appeared on his favorite cactus. They will become a most delicious dinner once the fruit has formed. It is so hard to wait! But there are plenty of other good things to eat for this desert hare. All is good.

Some of the pieces of this collage are cut from free-painted watercolor paper, while the detailed ones are painted and then cut out, using either scissors or a craft knife. The pieces are then adhered with an acid-free craft glue onto painted watercolor paper.

Know that the cactus thorns (which are many!) are not glued down, so they my move slightly. This art piece may do best in a frame to keep the art dust free, so the thorns will not be damaged while dusting. The frame is not included in this purchase.

The colors of this art may vary slightly from the image on  your monitor's screen. It is best to keep watercolor art out of direct or reflected sunlight.

For shipping, my goal is to reuse packaging material as it becomes available, although the art itself will always be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper before being placed in the package. The purchase of this art does not entitle the purchaser to the copyrights of this image.
