Miniature art piece entitled "A Desert Haven for Jack," from my Tiny Treasures collection.

This little blacktailed jackrabbit is a Watercolor Cut-Paper Collage, created with simplicity in mind. Measuring at a petite 1 ¾" x 2", the collage is mounted on a 5"x5" piece of deckled-edge 100% cotton watercolor paper. The prickly pear cactus featured in the artwork is modeled after the natural beauty flourishing in my very own garden. I assembled 18 tiny pieces of watercolor paper to capture its segmented form. Jack himself is a single piece an inch and a half tall, carefully positioned in front of the cactus. I sanded each paper piece to soften the edges—a task that proved challenging considering how tiny some of those pieces are! I used only acid-free glue to create this artwork.

I suggest displaying Tiny Treasure art pieces on a floating mount in a shadowbox or deep frame. If you use a standard frame, use a deep one and get a thick mat or a spacer to keep the glass off the watercolor, as that will affect the paint over time. Or, you can leave it as it is. This purchase does not include a mat or frame.

The colors of this art may vary slightly from the image on your monitor's screen. It is best to keep watercolor art out of direct or reflected sunlight.

For shipping, my goal is to reuse packaging material as it becomes available, although the art itself will always be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper before being placed in the package. The purchase of this art does not entitle the purchaser to the copyrights of this image. The copyright always remains with the artist.
